256 Shades of Hue

Description

This image is composed of 16 x 16 = 256 tiles.

Each tile is allocated colours that are within a range of hue, which is determined based on the angle that the centre of the tile forms with respect to the centre of the image.

The colours within each tile are then distributed so that their lightness varies horizontally and their saturation varies vertically. The direction of change, increase or decrease, switches between one tile and the next.
